The Course Objective

To provide students with a thorough understanding of Tecplot terminology, data input, and program usage.

Get the most out of Tecplot: All Tecplot features are covered with instructor directed examples or exercises. Major features are emphasized with student exercises. After successfully completing this course, students will be able to create a wide range of plots and will have a solid foundation from which to expand their Tecplot skills.

Every student will have their own computer at the training course but space is limited so contact us today.

1st Day	The class will cover:
	Tecplot Overview What can Tecplot do?, Interface Organisation, Loading in Data, Saving Data and plots
	Tecplot Data Format ASCII vs. Binary, Data File Format
	Text and Geometries Sketch Mode, Creating Geometries, Creating Text
	Making XY Plots XY Plots, XY Maps, XY Legend, XY Axis, Fitting Curves, Error Bars, Bar Charts

2nd Day	The class will cover:
	Creating Field Plots Mesh Plots, Contour Plots, Vector Plots, Streamtraces, Scatter Symbol Plots, Shade Plots
	3D Plots Options 3D Rotations, Light Source Options, 3D Axis Options, IJK Data Format Options
	Data Manipulation Creating New Data, Using Equations, Smoothing, Transform Polar Coordinates, Extracting Data, Triangulation, Interpolating
	Printing and Exporting Animation
	Using Macros Macro Commands, Creating Macro Files, Playing Macro Files, Macro Viewer, Quick Macro Panel
