We’re pleased to announce that the R2 version of Tecplot 360 2009 is now available! In addition to the ease-of-use and flexibility you’ve always enjoyed with Tecplot 360, this latest release delivers greater speeds and larger data set handling capabilities than ever before.

 

Enhancements include:

 

• Faster handling, especially when working with large data sets. When benchmarked on a16GB Linux server with 186M finite element data sets, the time to first image is 2.5 times faster; slicing data is up to 2 times faster; and animations are up to 1.3 times faster than the R1 version of Tecplot 360 2009.
• Windows 7 and HP/UX Itanium support. The R2 version has been fully tested and is compatible with Microsoft’s new operating system. Support for HP/UX running on Itanium hardware also has been added.
• License manager support for virtualization. Those using Tecplot 360 in mission-critical work can be assured of rapid recovery in the event of server or IT disasters.
